What I Do
I’m Katie Sara, the founder of Boake Rug Restoration.
I specialise in the repair and restoration of handmade and machine-made rugs, combining traditional artisan techniques with careful craftsmanship.
As a one-person business, I personally manage every step to ensure your rug receives the attention and care it deserves, restoring its beauty, integrity, and value.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Textile Design, graduating from Birmingham City University with honours.
Specialising in pattern design and natural dyes, my background in embroidery and weaving provides a strong foundation in textile construction and design, giving me a deep understanding of how to preserve and restore each rug with care.
Further Training
In addition, I am WoolSafe Academy trained in Essential Rug Repairs and Carpet Dyeing, Colour Repair with Advanced Stain Removal, ensuring professional, high-quality results.
